Using the American Tobacco Parking Deck

ATTENTION: Effective March 1, 2013 The American Tobacco Campus (ATC) parking decks require access stickers. THIS PROCESS WILL BE IN EFFECT MONDAY- FRIDAY, FROM 8AM- 5PM.

All questions about the new parking access should be directed to or call (919) 485-RIDE (7433).

The ATC North Parking Deck is a convenient park-and-ride opportunity for those who live in Durham and work in Raleigh or Chapel Hill. To use the deck, follow these 3 steps:

1. Complete a Monthly Access Card and Parking Individual Contract

Click here to access the contract.

2. Submit Your Completed Form and $15 Deposit

Bring your completed agreement to GoTriangle Customer Service, located at the Regional Transit Center, between 7 A.M. and 6:20 P.M. Monday-Friday or 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. on Saturday. You will also be required to pay a refundable $15 deposit for the gate card. You can pay your deposit by cash, cashier's check, money order, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

NOTE: Parking customers will receive notification if they have not accessed the parking deck for 90 days. Access will be deactivated 30 days following notification if the parker has not contacted GoTriangle by calling (919) 485-RIDE (7433) or sending an email

3. Accessing the Parking Deck!

All ATC Park and Ride customers will be issued a sticker that goes in the upper corner of your windshield. As you drive into the parking facility, an antenna system will recognize your vehicle and automatically raise the gate.

Included with the sticker will be instructions on how to access a website where you will activate your parking credentials. You will need to verify and submit all of your vehicle information. Once you have registered, parking access will begin immediately. If you purchase a new vehicle or need to make changes involving your parking, you will be able to log in and make those changes yourself.

Parking access also includes a QR code. The QR code will be electronically sent to each person who activates their parking sticker. By storing the QR code on your smartphone or printing out a paper copy of it, you will be able to access the parking deck if your car is in the shop or you traded cars for the day. The system will recognize either your sticker or your QR code upon entry. In other words, if you enter using your sticker, unless you have exited the parking facility you would not be able to get in with your QR code and vice versa. You may use the sticker or the QR code, but not both at any given time.

Join the many other Durham residents who are already using the deck and saving gas money by riding GoTriangle!

Where to Board

Exit the parking deck and walk 100 feet west to the Durham Station, which is located adjacent to the parking deck. See the signs at each gate to determine where your bus will arrive.

Where Can I Park My Bike at American Tobacco?

Just inside the gate where cars enter from Pettigrew Street, there is a covered bike rack a short walk from the street.
