The GoTriangle Board of Trustees on Wednesday recognized outgoing member Ellen Reckhow for serving tirelessly for more than two decades after being instrumental in the very creation of the regional transit agency.
Triangle commuters who excelled at reducing their carbon footprints over the past five years will be among those recognized this month during an online event sponsored by GoTriangle’s Employer Services Department and the Best Workplaces for Commuters.
“I wanted to be able to give back somehow, and I saw a lot of people were making these masks, and I said, ‘I can probably make a mask, too.’ But I had never touched a sewing machine in my entire life," says David Moore.
GoTriangle will suspend all fare collections and ask all riders who are able to enter and exit through the rear doors of buses in an effort to support social distancing and reduce contact with frequently touched surfaces. GoTriangle ACCESS rides also will be free
