September 21, 2026  –  Students, faculty, and staff at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) can now take advantage of regional public transit options thanks to the GoPass program. With the Education GoPass, members of the NCCU community can travel via GoTriangle and GoRaleigh buses at no cost, allowing Eagles the chance to more efficiently explore the Triangle. (A GoPass is not required to ride GoCary, GoDurham, and Chapel Hill Transit, as they remain fare-free.)

Eagles can request a GoPass at no cost using an active NCCU email address. The GoPass will be valid through October 30, 2027, and must then be renewed annually. The GoPass sponsorship program is available to universities/colleges, corporate employers, and non-profits. A GoPass partner is an organization that values the benefits of transit through a GoPass sponsorship.
