Michelle Jeng serves as the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing the agency’s health and sustainability, which includes supporting optimal cost, liquidity, profitability, transparency, and security. Jeng is also responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, while providing strategic financial guidance to the support the agency’s vision.
Michelle previously served as the CFO at the North Carolina Railroad Company for over 3 years and has strong leadership skills and more than 25 years of experience in finance.
At the North Carolina Railroad Company, she led the organization’s financial performance and reporting, portfolio management, accounting, and IT. She was responsible for overseeing the compliance of the Economic Development Programs as was as Human Resources. She oversaw an $32 million annual operating budget.
As CFO of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, Michelle oversaw a $155 million annual budget as well as being responsible for financial performance, portfolio management and the integration of finance and operations.
Prior to joining the Southwest Regional Transit Authority, Michelle spent over 5 years in corporate treasury and risk management roles, and 18 years in various capacities in the financial services industry.a
