GoTriangle’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program
GoTriangle has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE) in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26.
The main goals of the DBE program are:
- to ensure non-discrimination in the award and administration of DOT-assisted contracts, and
- to create a level playing field by providing small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals an opportunity to compete for federally funded DOT-assisted contracts.
DBE Goal – Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2016-2018
GoTriangle has developed an overall agency goal of 7 percent for DBE firms to participate in U.S. DOT-assisted contracts for federal FY 2016-2018 (Oct. 1, 2015-Sept. 30, 2018). GoTriangle will also request the use of project-specific DBE goals as appropriate and/or will establish project-specific goals as directed by the FTA. The most recent DBE goal submission was due to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) on Aug. 1, 2018, and covered fiscal years 2019, 2020 and 2021.
