Call for artists for the future Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility

RALEIGH, NC (Feb. 20, 2024) - Today, Hoffman and Associates, in partnership with GoTriangle, is pleased to announce a call for artists to design and implement art for the future Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility, known as RUS Bus, in downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District.

Individual artists and artist collaborators are invited to submit artist qualifications for the project by Monday, April 1, 2024, at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to be considered.

Slated to open in mid-2025, RUS Bus will make it easy for travelers to connect between intercity rail; local, regional and express bus services; and future bus rapid transit. GoTriangle – the Triangle’s regional transit authority – will own and manage RUS Bus, which will also welcome travelers arriving on foot or bike with bike- and pedestrian-friendly spaces.

RUS Bus will be part of Union West, a vibrant, integrated joint development along West, Martin and Hargett streets adjacent to the existing Raleigh Union Station rail facility. Private development, delivered by Hoffman & Associates, will include multifamily residential and retail in one central and vibrant destination.

This public art opportunity is funded by the Wake Transit Art Funding program. Under this program, art funds are dedicated to the design, selection, fabrication and installation of works of public art.

Request for Qualifications (RFQs) information is available online. For more information, email rusbus-art@hoffman-dev.com.
