Equal Opportunity Diversity and Inclusion

FY25 - FY29 EEO Program

GoTriangle is committed to promoting and maintaining a workplace that embraces diversity. Our mission is to be inclusive, reflecting our community within all levels of the organization. We respect and value individual differences and encourage all employees to reach their potential.

How we Promote Equal Employment Opportunity

GoTriangle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) employer that complies with applicable federal and state laws. As a matter of principle, our agency does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran’s status or any other reason prohibited by law. Our EEO policy covers all aspects of employment, including recruitment, selection, compensation, benefits, assignments, promotions, transfers, discipline and how we implement related policies and procedures.

How Does GoTriangle’s EEO Program Work?

Further underscoring this policy commitment, GoTriangle's EEO Program includes an Affirmative Action Plan aimed at achieving and valuing diversity in the workforce. We set goals and timetables to overcome the effects of past discrimination on minorities and women. GoTriangle also makes reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities and for religious observances to the extent that such accommodations do not create undue hardships upon the agency’s general operations.

The EEO Program upholds the importance and value of each employee or applicant for employment. Anyone—applicant or employee—subjected to behavior violating this policy is encouraged to report such action immediately to:

  • Jamila Ormond, Director of Equal Opportunity Diversity and Inclusion at: GoTriangle, 4600 Emperor Blvd., Durham, NC 27703
  • Phone: (919) 485-7518
  • Email: jormond@gotriangle.org

Every complaint is treated seriously, investigated and resolved immediately because GoTriangle values every employee and applicant.

All GoTriangle managers and supervisors share in this responsibility and are assigned specific tasks to assure that compliance is achieved. Their success in meeting EEO goals is evaluated in the same way as other agency’s goals.

Meeting EEO goals benefits GoTriangle, allowing us to develop the talents of previously underemployed people in the labor market of the community we serve and to offer them more employment opportunities.
