The GoTriangle Operations Employee Committee is organizing a community food drive from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Carter-Finley Park-and-Ride lot and Regional Transit Center platform to benefit the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC.
GoTriangle employees are working to ensure that local families are not hungry during the upcoming holidays, and they hope the public will help fill two buses with donations for food banks in Durham and Raleigh.
To donate food on Tuesday, Nov. 12, please stop by the GoTriangle bus parked at:
- Carter Finley Park-and-Ride, 4200 Trinity Road in Raleigh
- Regional Transit Center, 901 Slater Road in Durham
The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina’s most needed items are:
- Canned fruits, vegetables, meat, and soups
- Whole grain pasta, brown rice, dried beans, and cereal
- Peanut butter, granola bars, mac and cheese cups
- For kids: Pedialyte, crackers, juice boxes, fruit cups
