Transit officials, City of Durham Seek Public's Assistance in TV Story on Durham Station.

Durham, NC  - Officials with GoDurham, GoTriangle and the City of Durham are asking for the public’s help involving a story reported by WTVD TV at the Durham Station Transportation Center.

Earlier today, a customer reported to WTVD that she was asked by staff to leave an on-site bathroom yesterday afternoon. The customer told the station she felt she was escorted by officials from the transit center because she was transgender.  

An initial investigation involving staff, employees and law enforcement has not been able to verify or substantiate any of the claims made in the story. A video from Durham Station during the timeframe can be viewed below.

GoDurham, GoTriangle and the City of Durham take the concerns of customers seriously.
