Transit Systems in Raleigh, Durham and the Triangle Change Names

Three of the Triangle’s transit providers have new names.    

In a news conference earlier today, NC Secretary of Transportation Tony Tata, Raleigh Mayor Pro Tem John Odom and Durham Mayor and GoTriangle Board Chair William V. “Bill” Bell, unveiled GoRaleigh, GoDurham and GoTriangle.  The transit providers are part of a new family of services called GoTransit. 

Regional Transit Providers Expand Service to Mebane Provides Connection from the Triad to the Triangle

Commuters from the Triangle and the Triad will soon have expanded options for getting to work.  The new service provides connections from Guilford County into the Triangle and expanded service in Alamance County.  

In a first for the state, Triangle Transit is sharing a Park and Ride with PART– the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation.  The Park and Ride will be located at Cone Health MedCenter Mebane near the Tanger Outlets and will open on January 12, 2015.
