GoTriangle invites full-time bus operators aboard with a $2,500 recruitment bonus
GoTriangle, the agency’s regional transit authority, announces the launch of a $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time bus operators through Sept. 30, 2024.
The bonus is designed to help the agency’s recruitment efforts amid a national shortage of full-time bus operators.
“As we keep working to better serve our region’s growing population, GoTriangle is offering this incentive for full-time bus operators to join our team,” said GoTriangle President and CEO Charles Lattuca. “Once operators join us, they will notice that our employee benefits are excellent. Our coverage includes medical, dental, vision, long- and short-term disability insurance and generous paid holiday, vacation and sick leave and so much more. GoTriangle also helps employees prepare for retirement by contributing 8% of their base salary to a 401(a) account.”
Sign-on bonus arrives in three sums over time
The sign-on bonus will be paid to the bus operator recruits in three payments after the start date of their employment with GoTriangle:
- $500 will be paid to the employee after completing 90 days of employment with GoTriangle.
- $500 will be paid to the employee after completing 180 days of employment with GoTriangle.
- $1,500 will be paid after the employee completes one year of employment with GoTriangle.
Salaries will progress over three years to a guaranteed hourly pay rate of $24.61. GoTriangle invites applicants to join its family, which connects people throughout the region.
